How do I swap two photos?

Press and hold one photo, then drag it onto another. They trade places, and each keeps the crop you gave it. With VoiceOver, use the actions rotor on a photo and choose "Swap with next photo".

How do I zoom or crop a photo?

Tap a photo, then tap Crop. You can pinch to zoom, drag to reposition, switch between Fill and Fit, rotate or mirror it, and straighten a crooked horizon with the tilt slider. Tap the angle readout to reset it to zero.

I can't find a layout I like

Tap the shuffle button in the Layout tab to jump to a different arrangement — there are over a thousand. You can also drag the dividers between photos to resize them, and drag the corners of the canvas ratio in the Size tab for a different shape.

Where are my saved collages?

The Projects tab. Everything autosaves as you work, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so projects do not sync between devices and are not recoverable if you delete the app.

Can I use more than 20 photos?

Twenty is the limit for one collage. Beyond that, individual photos become too small to see and very large exports risk running out of memory on the device.

Does Mosaic upload my photos?

No. There is no server and no account. Everything happens on your device. See the privacy policy.

The app is slow or ran out of memory when exporting

Very large collages at Max quality are the heaviest thing Mosaic does. Try Standard or High quality in the export sheet, or close other apps first. Please report it — include how many photos you used and which quality you picked.

Accessibility

Mosaic works with VoiceOver. Photos, cards, stickers and text are all labelled, and the gesture-only actions — swapping, resizing, rotating, layering — are available through the actions rotor. If something is unreachable, please tell us; that is a bug we want to fix.
