Mosaic Collage for iPhone and iPad · Last updated 21 August 2026

Mosaic collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server, so Mosaic never sends your photos anywhere. The only time a collage leaves the app is when you tap share and hand it to another app yourself.

What Mosaic does not do

Your photos

When you choose photos, iOS shows you its own picker and gives Mosaic only the pictures you select. Mosaic copies those into its own private storage on your device so your collage still works if the original is later moved or deleted. All editing — cropping, filters, subject cut-out, layout and export — happens on your device.

When you save a finished collage, Mosaic asks for add-only permission to your photo library. That permission lets it write the new image and nothing else; it cannot read your library.

Sharing to another app

If you choose to share a collage to Instagram or TikTok, Mosaic hands that one image to that app and opens it — for an Instagram Story the image is placed on the system pasteboard under Instagram's own key, where it expires after five minutes. Nothing else goes with it: no identifier, no account, nothing about you. If the app is not installed, iOS opens its App Store page instead.

This only happens when you tap share, and only for the collage you are sharing. What happens to the image after that is between you and that app, under its privacy policy rather than this one.

Your projects

Saved projects live in Mosaic's own storage in the app sandbox on your device. Deleting the app deletes them, and they are included in an iCloud or computer backup only if you have device backups switched on — that is a backup made by you, of your device, not a transfer to us.

Data we receive

None. Because Mosaic has no server and no analytics, there is nothing for us to receive, store, sell or share. We could not identify a Mosaic user if we wanted to.

Apple may give us aggregate, anonymous statistics about downloads and crashes through App Store Connect if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your iOS settings. That data comes from Apple, is not linked to you, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Mosaic is safe for all ages and rated 4+. It collects nothing from anyone, children included, and contains no advertising, no purchases and no chat. It browses no web pages of its own. The only way out of the app is the share button described above, which opens Instagram, TikTok or their App Store pages, and only when you tap it.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, that would be described here before it shipped.
